Rainy days and Mondays

The good news is...the snow has all melted. For the first time since January, the front of the house is drift-free.
And I'm hoping the bushes will eventually regain their shape after being subsumed for two+ months. It's a delight to see the stone walkways and walls again. It is like the return of old friends who remain unchanged after a long absence.

With rain a constant, attire is classic English countryside: Wellies and waxed coats. I remain here as my Montague undergoes some minor surgery this morning. Wish him luck!

Marching on,

I love my Barbour waxed coat. I even have a gorgeous waxed hat to match with a rosette at the brim. Who says you can't look good in the rain? xoxo

I also am a waxed coat, hunter wellies-loving person. But right now I am sick to death of anything wet - rain, snow, sleet. Hurry up spring.

Montague, I hope Mommy spoils you.
